The Linksys' CIT200, or Cordless
Internet Telephony Kit is called
the "Skype Phone".
The Linksys CIT200 connects to
Skype-enabled PCs by way of a
USB-based radio receiver. In
fact, the CIT200 acts as a
wireless headset and microphone
for the PC.
The Linksys CIT200, includes a
voucher for an hour of free
SkypeOut minutes and a one-month
voice mail subscription.
Wi-Fi devices and the Linksys
CIT200 don't interfere with each
other because the latter uses
spectrum between 1920MHz and
1930MHz.
The Linksys CIT200 handset is
comfortable and easy to navigate,
featuring a small color LCD
screen.
The Linksys CIT200 offers a
confusing array of contact lists.
I could create a local private
list, share a contact list with
other users of the phone or
simply rely on the call contacts
synced from Skype.
The installation disk provides
drivers and software for Windows
2000 and XP.
Comments from some members:

Voice over Internet Protocol
offers the capability to transmit
voice communications overthe
Internet, employing a variety of
end user devices. In most cases,
VoIP servicesconvert the analog
voice from a telephone (using an
adapter between the telephone
andthe Internet connection) into
digital signals that travel as
packets over the Internet thenare
converted back to analog voice at
the receiving end. When placing a
VoIP call using aphone with an
adapter, a consumer hears a
regular dial tone and can dial
traditional phone numbers.
