Shopping in Buenos Aires
Good streets for shopping are CalleFlorida, a mall in the main business dis-trict, and Avenida Santa Fe, which crosses Florida at Plaza San Martín.
Avenida Santa Fe is less touristy and less expensive than Florida.
Galerías Pacífico occupies one entire block in Calle Florida and is a major shopping center with bou-tiques and up-market cafés catering forthose with good taste and the wallet toprove it.
Shopping centers and malls Porteños are extremely proud of their of-ten opulent galerías(malls), truly a sign of the country’s regained prosperity.
